The Price of Power

To answer a question Matt had (on the phone this morning), "The Price of Power" is a sequel to "The Letter" (the first part is a year 3 core that I don't remember the title of).

So, I'm going to ask Louis if he'll run "Return to the Undercity" for us on Friday (and any other COWS judge looking for a zero for Stuffed COWS).

Then maybe Saturday I'd run "The Letter" for whoever: Matt, Kalen, Kathy, Ryan, Tony? Then everyone would be ready to play "The Price of Power" sometime later.

Anyone even checking this blog?

  • I check this as regularly as all other blogs, which is once a day. I won't expect something as often, but I'm just obsessive about not missing anything. Anyway, I'd be up for anything this weekend, and you can tell mom I'll definitely be home this weekend.

  • Yeah, I also check this blog at least once a day. Return to the Undercity sounds good - is that in a series? At any rate, it sounds right up Erin's alley.

  • Also, as I forgot to put this in my earlier reply - The Letter on Saturday sounds good.

  • Return to the Undercity doesn't seem as though it is part of any series. The blurb is:

Homes are burned to the ground and whole families vanished. There have been humanoid raids on lands within the elven nation of Celene itself. Along the Wild Coast, dark rumors are spoken about slaver vessels flying yellow sails along the Wild Coast. And now an agent sent to investigate the rumors of the return of the Slave Lords has disappeared. Can you ascertain if this sinister force has returned? A one-round Core adventure set in Celene, the Wild Coast and the Pomarj for APLs 2-8.

  • Also, just for Dads sake, I knew All Roads Lead to Rauxes was part of some series. Turns out it is Part Five (and Final?) of the Running With the Baatezu series. So that is a Londol module, whenever I get around to playing it (also, APL 6-12). It is a year 5 though, so I'm not in a big hurry to play it.

  • I check this blog just because I don't want to be left out or surprised by any plans. BTW--Kalen, Kathy, and Matt have hair appointments Saturday at 1:00-so you'll need to plan around that. Maybe a 2:00 or later start time. Of course, I was hoping to get Kalen out for a bit in the afternoon to go shopping for a blazer.

  • I still need to get in the 3rd and 4th mods in Running with the Baatezu. :-(
    Preferably with Joe.

  • I know Sympathy for the Baatezu and Never Rains in Nyrond are in that series - are the other ones retired or more recent than those two? I need to play that series with Merla.

  • The first in the Baatezu series was "When Orcs Attack". Year 3, but I know you played that.

The second was "A Tiger? In Ahlissa?". Worst mod name to say, because it needs the inflection that noone wants to say (so it comes out "A Tiger in Ahlissa" - very different). I can't remember if that's year 3 or year 4. I know I played it in September of last year. That's the mod Joe had his one death in.

  • Kalen - You definitely played 1, 3, and 4. I am almost certain you have not played "A Tiger? In Ahlissa?" It is a Year 4, so you could still play if you wanted to, and if you can find people to play with.

  • Okay, I had forgotten that "When Orcs Attack" was in that series. And no, I have not played "A Tiger? In Ahlissa?" which I agree is probably the worst mod title ever for the reason Dad brought up. So I'll have to try to grab that one by the end of the year.

  • Is Tiger? year 3 or 4? I haven't played that one or three or four, but I did play orcs with Luc.

  • As Matt pointed out - year 4.

And I've played it (I assume Matt did too), so pick a time and I'll run it.

  • Yeah, I've played everything but "Rauxes" in that series
