Mythbusters at GenCon

Hey, everyone. I know most of you all aren't on the GenCon boards, so I thought I'd announce this here. A new event has just been released for Saturday night at 6 pm - Mythbusters! Bust a Myth. It will be led by Kari, Tory, and Grant (the build team), who will bust a myth and then have a Q&A session. It overlaps with the KoDT live reading, but check it out if you're interested - I'm planning to go, and may just skip out on the Q&A early if it gets boring.

  • I have also just learned that there is a "one-on-one" session on Sunday from 11-1. (Actually, 3 sessions with 6 registrations each). I've switched to one of these sessions, anyone else interested should hustle up, as I expect these will go quickly.

  • I've signed up for the Saturday night thing, and one of the "one-on-one" sessions. There was only one registration left in the sunday sessions after I signed up, which will probably be gone by the the time you read this.

  • Where and how do I get tickets again?

  • Go to the GenCon Indy site (www.gencon.com) - click on the goofy looking picture that says register today! If you haven't bought a badge yet, you'll have to do that. Then, you can just search for "Mythbusters" on Saturday, that should pull up the event. As of this posting, there are still 125 tickets available. Anything you get now will have to be picked up at will call. Just a note to anyone still thinking about going - pre-reg ends July 21st. You would still be able to buy badges and generic tickets (or tickets to any events that are still open)on-site, however.

  • Muchas gracias!

Um... which badge is everyone getting?

  • 4 Day general or Gamemaster 4 Day (for those of us getting our badges paid for due to volunteering). Obviously, most of the badges wouldn't apply to you. I'm not entirely sure what the differences between the general and anime only badges are, but I'm pretty sure you want one of the general ones (depending on how many days you're planning on going).

  • I'm on a volunteer 4-day... but I don't think you can buy those since Jane had to give us a code to get the price reduced...

I'd suggest the 4-day General, but I'm biased...

  • You got a volunteer badge, Amber? I wonder if they had different codes for different things then. I also got a code (from the gal in charge of volunteers for TD), and my online registration thing definitely says I have a gamemaster badge. Which kind of annoys me, because I think it means I have to pick up my badge at the GM headquarters instead of getting it in the mail. C'est la vie (or something like that).
